Mold was found growing on the surface of a vinyl tile floor covering after moving a piece of furniture. Moisture from the slab which escaped through joints in the floor, was able to create a high sustained humidity under the fixture leading to mold growth. The same effect can be found under plastic desk chair mats commonly used to protect carpet.
