The original Chinese Hospital—built in 1925 and birthplace to Bruce Lee—was an iconic structure in San Francisco’s most densely populated neighborhood. To make way for a new, seismically sound acute care hospital, the structure was demolished. The new 100,000-sq.-ft., ground-up replacement hospital will includes 54-bed acute care and 22-bed skilled nursing facilities. The project will be technically complex and logistically challenging with nearly 15,000 residence in a 20 -block area during the ongoing construction process.
Floor Seal Technology will be manufacturing and factory installing its MES100 concrete moisture control treatment for the new hospital project. The MES100 will be installed at each grade level to protect new flooring products from moisture, vapor, relative humidity and adhesion issues once the hospitals acute care and skilled nursing facilities are in operation.
